This is a one year full time course in Childcare training for students, leading to the National
Certificate in Childcare Level 5.
More than 35,000 students enter PLC Courses in Ireland annually. The FETAC (NCVA) Level 5 Award is now recognised world-wide as a prestigious qualification for entry into the World of Work. It is also an important alternative entry method for Third Level Courses in Institutes of Technology and other Institutions of Further Education.
This course is suitable for Post Leaving Certificate, Mature and Part-time students.
It is especially suitable for students who wish to defer Third Level Offers for a year in order to acquire necessary skills that will benefit them in their Third Level Courses.
The Higher Education Links Scheme
enables students who achieve a FETAC(NCVA) Level 5 Certificate to apply for a place in a range of Higher Education Institutions. At present places are reserved in over 250 Courses in more than 30 Colleges in Ireland.
